/O is a music studio owned by Eric and Cari Tate just south of Old Town Arvada. In many ways, we feel "studio" is too narrow a word. We like to think of our facility as a "maker space”—a place where creative people collaborate to make experiences for others.
The 2,400-square-foot studio is the home base for producer, mixer, and guitarist Eric Dawson Tate.
For producer, artist, and musician: The room transforms to host acoustic treatments, music equipment, and instruments. It's also a fantastic mix room, where Eric has mixed albums, film scores, and singles for artists recorded elsewhere from Denver and beyond.
A separate, 150-square-foot project studio operates as an overflow work area for Eric and is available for rent to musicians, songwriters, podcasters, etc., as a quiet place to work on your next creation.

What's up with the name?
Environment can activate one's creativity in unique ways, similar to "terroir": the way the soil and climate impact the flavor of a wine. As a Colorado native, I [Eric] wandered around the world a bit before realizing that Colorado and its creative community was home. "Slash O Inverted F" is a Colorado family ranching brand handed down from my great-grandfather to my grandmother to my father and, finally, to me. Colorado’s heritage and environment have profoundly formed me and what I create. /O is an homage to that history. It also symbolizes my desire to develop a place—an environment—that will have a profound creative impact on all those who make something here.
